Position Background.
The Utility Program Manager will serve as the subject matter expert in utility incentives, federal grants, and MBE programs. They will maintain program documentation and guide the team in regard to changing programs. They will need experience working with various programs to serve as the company liaison to ensure the team’s success.
Job Responsibilities:
- Fully manage utility incentive application packages (primarily ConEd) incentives; C&I Program and Multifamily Energy Efficiency Program.
- Attend and lead site meetings with owners, contractors, utilities, and finance groups.
- Guide and support client building portfolios with capturing incentives for projects, in partnership with other staff.
- Support Sales staff with incentive estimates and approaches and potentially presentations.
- Guide and educate the team in regards to existing or upcoming programs.
- Contribute toward the continued development of tools, templates, and resources.
- Ensure on-time delivery of high quality, detailed, error-free products.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in Energy Services, proposal management, capital projects in buildings required.
- Experience tracking numerous document packages of varying scope and schedule nature required.
- Knowledge of Local Law 97, utility incentive programs, and decarbonization pathways a plus.
- Knowledge of construction codes and principles a plus.
Skills Requirements:
- Must be detail-oriented and organized with technical documentation.
- College degree and/or demonstrated experience in a technical services industry.
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken).
- Skilled in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work across a cross-functional team with differing directives and varying priorities.
