Job Description – Sales/Account Executive
Position Background. The Account Executive will serve as the front lines of the company, prospecting the top real estate companies in Manhattan and New Jersey. They will develop relationships with the individuals responsible for managing building assets, identify viable project opportunities, and work alongside the RKB project team to ensure projects are completed to the utmost satisfaction of the owner.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Partner with building owners, asset managers, property managers, and facilities staff to identify capital projects to reduce operating costs and Local Law exposure.
2. Identify opportunities to leverage utility incentives, tax incentives, and state grants to reduce the capital costs of projects.
3. Develop sales proposals for mechanical, electrical, and/or renewable energy projects.
4. Coordinate with the development team through the design phase to meet project goals.
5. Lead meetings and presentations on proposed projects and programs.
6. Strategize marketing efforts for partnerships, industry events and/or conferences.
7. Manage client, partner, contractor, and vendor relationships.
8. Attend networking and industry events to maintain client relationships.
9. Contribute toward the continued development of tools, templates, and resources.
10. Support the project accounting and billing processes.
11. Ensure on-time delivery of high quality, detailed, error-free products.
Experience Requirements:
- Experience in Business Development/Sales of professional services.
- Knowledge of Energy (Mechanical and/or Electrical) Engineering, facilities operations, capital projects, building equipment and commissioning.
- Knowledge of Local Law 97, utility incentive programs, and building decarbonization pathways.
- Proven experience working with vendors/contractors in New York City area a plus.
- Development of company sales strategies and goals a plus.
- Marketing experience a plus.

- College degree preferred.
- QuickBooks Online a plus.
- Ability to work across a cross-functional team with differing directives and varying priorities.
